St. Cyril warned that cleverness without truth is dangerous. Some men twist words with charm and logic but lack sincerity and holiness. Don’t be dazzled. Be grounded.

The devil quoted Scripture too—don’t be impressed by sharp tongues without clean hearts.

Suggestions for the Day

  • Be slow to trust public figures simply because they sound smart.
  • Measure advice not just by logic, but by holiness and fruits.
  • Sharpen your own understanding of the faith through study, not memes.

If this reflection resonated with you, consider joining Catholic Men of America to grow in faith and fraternity with Catholic men across the country.
